Bridging health and agriculture through innovative education
Essential Health Higher Institute (EHHI) offers a comprehensive range of programmes from Diploma to PhD levels, divided into two main schools: the School of Medical and Biomedical Sciences and the Department of Agriculture and Food Sciences.
Our curriculum is designed to produce graduates who are not only theoretically sound but also practically skilled, compassionate, and ready to serve rural and underserved communities. We emphasise interprofessional learning, research, and community engagement.
Nursing, Anesthesia, and Critical Care
Training competent, critical-thinking healthcare professionals for rural and global settings. Our programmes are rigorous, practical, and rooted in the realities of African healthcare.
Higher National Diploma (HND) in Nursing
A comprehensive programme that prepares students for general nursing practice in hospitals, clinics, and community settings. Emphasis on clinical skills, patient care, and health promotion.

Inter-professional Anesthesia, Emergency & Critical Care Course
A six-month blended learning journey in collaboration with ROBINAID Academy (Germany). This programme is designed for healthcare professionals seeking to enhance their skills in anesthesia, emergency care, and critical care.

The backbone of our entrepreneurial university concept
Good health starts with good nutrition. Our Agriculture and Food Sciences programme bridges healthcare and sustainable farming to fight malnutrition, hunger, and poverty. Students learn practical skills in model gardens, fish farming, and community co-operatives.
The department offers HND, BSc, and MSc programmes in Agricultural Production Technology and Sustainable Agriculture. Our graduates are equipped to become agricultural entrepreneurs, extension officers, and food security advocates.
